2010 Air Adventure Tour

CAVU Dreams (2010-03)

This spring promises ideal flying conditions, with early-season weather improving after a challenging two months. While the author missed several good weekends due to fog and plane repairs, they enjoyed the last weekend of February flying around Calgary. Filming for a club video is also underway, with members encouraged to participate.

The year ended with a memorable flying experience over the Kananaskis Valley during a visit from the author's parents. After a clear Boxing Day, the author and friends enjoyed a smooth flight, overcoming oil temperature regulation challenges with a new adjustable air intake for the engine. The joyful day concluded with successful flight procedures and exploration.

Trip to the Maritimes

This summer, our family traveled extensively in our RV10, culminating in a significant trip to Canada's Maritimes. Despite challenging weather, we visited friends and family, enjoying scenic flights. We encountered storms but successfully navigated, ultimately reuniting with relatives and sharing joyful moments before facing the return journey amid unpredictable weather conditions.

50 By 50

The author shares their passion for flying, sparked by a Facebook post about a ride in a Super Petrel. They have flown various aircraft and aim to fly 50 different types by age 50. This reflects a lifelong enthusiasm for aviation and a desire to explore new flying experiences.

Trip to Oregon

The author recounts a trip to retrieve their RV-9 from Eugene, Oregon, navigating diverse weather conditions and air traffic. From The Cockpit (2009-10)

The COPA for Kids event is canceled due to inclement weather. Recent enjoyable flights occurred in September, including a trip to Rocky Mountain House. Upcoming club elections are in December. The successful COPA convention had over 180 planes and 140 volunteers. Guest speakers for the October meeting will discuss their missionary flying in Africa.
