Vegas Trip

After much planning and delays, a family flew their RV-10 from Canada to Las Vegas, finally enjoying a warm vacation. They faced weather challenges but successfully navigated to various destinations, including the Grand Canyon. The trip included a private wedding and enjoyable family time, highlighting the efficiency and performance of their aircraft.

2010 Air Adventure Tour

Stu Simpson describes an Air Adventure Tour. The group faced storms, mechanical issues, and challenging landings during the trip from Alberta to the Pacific coast. CAVU Dreams (2009-04)

March experienced challenging flying conditions due to adverse weather, but upcoming summer days look promising. Innovations like the new Eagle EMS fuel system were showcased, offering significant advantages.

From The Cockpit (2009-04)

The annual raffle held successively rewarded winners, including Stu Simpson who selected an oil painting, Graham Millington who won $250, and Ken Beanlands who received a multi-tool. Additionally, discussions on COPA updates occurred. A flight to Red Deer was hampered by fog, leading to a special VFR experience for the passengers.

CAVU Dreams (2008-01)

The author reflects on a successful first term at SAIT, enjoyed a Christmas break, and completed maintenance on their aircraft, Christavia. They attended a potluck barbecue with fellow pilots and installed a Monroy ATD-300 traffic monitor for enhanced safety. The unit effectively detects nearby aircraft, providing valuable collision warnings.

Rose’s First Flight

On February 19, 2006, I took my co-worker Alan's wife, Rose, on her first airplane ride for her birthday. After thorough briefings and checking weather conditions, we flew over stunning landscapes, including Calgary and Drumheller. Despite some turbulence, Rose enjoyed the experience, expressing newfound confidence about flying. It was a memorable tour.
