On Day 4 of their air adventure, Stu, Barry, and the narrator completed a challenging flight from Salmon Arm to Nelson, overcoming an 8000-foot mountain pass. After enjoying the scenic journey and a pub visit, they embarked on a difficult final leg to Kirkby’s. The trip provided valuable flying experience and unforgettable views.
The 2006 Air Adventure saw four pilots travel from Calgary through various locations in Alberta and British Columbia over five days, experiencing challenges including headwinds and refueling issues. Despite these obstacles, the journey through the mountains showcased breathtaking views, camaraderie, and the essence of adventure flying. Part two is forthcoming.
