From the Cockpit (2013-08)

The annual trip to northwest Ontario involves visiting Judy’s mother in extended care. Despite delays in test flying the rebuilt aircraft, a successful first flight occurred just before departure. The author also engaged in aviation-related activities, helping a nephew with a float plane and a local friend’s aircraft issues, culminating in an enjoyable Turbo Otter flight.

Sun ‘n Fun 2010

The author's experience at the Sun 'n Fun event in Lakeland, Florida, highlights the warm weather, numerous flight demonstrations, and innovative products like the Mosquito XET ultralight helicopter. They recommend at least two days for attendees, also visiting the Fantasy of Flight Museum and expressing excitement for the upcoming airshow season.

CAVU Dreams (2007-12)

Winter has arrived with temperatures dropping below -20°C. Despite the cold, impressive aviation activities occurred, especially at Linden airstrip, where local groups organized flights and a Young Eagles day. Plans are underway to upgrade the airstrip, including burying power lines and relocating it, with community support and funding.
