After three years, the author visits Oshkosh with Carl Forman, opting for a rented place in Waupaca instead of camping. While Carl succeeds in finding avionics, the author fails to locate the Thatcher CX4 and purchase a Zulu headset due to pricing issues. Overall, the trip was enjoyable but less crowded than in previous years.

The AirVenture Air Adventure

The CUFC Air Adventure is a summer tradition where members embark on a week-long flying trip in Western Canada, evolving from needing ground support to a self-sufficient journey. This year’s group, comprising experienced pilots, followed a carefully planned route, enjoyed memorable experiences, navigated various challenges, and successfully returned home after logging significant flight hours.

CAVU Dreams (2007-08)

In a busy July, the author celebrated their 40th birthday with a memorable trip and surprise cake, enjoyed the CUFC reunion Bar-B-Q, and participated in the CUFC Air Adventure Tour with seven aircraft. The tour faced high temperatures but was successful, and progress on the Buttercup project continued. School preparations are underway.
