The (soon to be) Great Air-Berta Air Rally Part III

The Air-berta Air Rally on August 27, 2020 was a long but eventful day. The journey from Edmonton to Manning saw warm welcomes, generous gifts, and interesting encounters. The rally ended with a close race and a warm reception at Drayton Valley. Overall, it was a rewarding three days of flying, with 25 airports visited and 28 takeoff/landings.

The first Airberta Air Rally took place with clear weather and light winds. The pilot made multiple stops, including Rocky Mountain House and Red Deer Forestry strip. They met fellow rally participants and visited non-rally airports for historical significance. The day ended at Bassano Airport, where they were warmly welcomed. The group plans to continue the rally the next day.

In 1947, the Cessna 195 made its first flight, marking Cessna's venture into business aviation. After years of varied treatment, the aircraft celebrated its 70th Anniversary in Wichita. Despite weather delays, the journey included scenic stops and engaging activities. Ultimately, it showcased a strong aviation community and memorable adventures.

2012 – Troys East Coast Air Venture – 2012-08-02 Day Summary

Troy Branch arrived in Bathurst after a scenic flight along Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence, overcoming weather challenges. They made a quick fuel stop in Trois Rivière and successfully navigated unstable air mass and thunderstorms to reach their destination. The family greeted them, and they look forward to beach and lake time before heading to Moncton.
