Cavalier Engine Swap – Part 3: High Oil Temperatures

The author experienced high oil temperatures in their Cavalier aircraft after engine installation, initially measuring 205-220 degrees F. They replaced the oil cooler and constructed a shroud to improve airflow, reducing temperatures to 170-195 degrees F. Following an investigation, they confirmed the installation of a necessary Vernatherm, enhancing engine cooling performance.
