Electricity Brought to Linden

On October 14, 2006, Linden hosted a successful Young Eagles event, despite initial weather challenges. Over 120 participants enjoyed flights from various aircraft, thanks to diligent volunteer pilots and local organizations. The community’s cooperation fostered excitement and connections among youth, leaving lasting memories and new aspirations for aviation in the area.

To Vulcan Again!

Each year, COPA flights from Calgary and Lethbridge gather for breakfast in Vulcan, fostering connections among pilots. This year's event on August 19th saw 24 planes and about 36 attendees, including the youngest member, Emma. The tradition continues to grow, enhancing camaraderie and providing a fun reason to fly.

CAVU Dreams (2006-11)

The author reflects on completing winter preparations for their cottage and the end of flying season, while excited to finally begin building a Wittman Buttercup aircraft after delays due to home renovations and aircraft maintenance. They plan to start with the fuselage for motivation, emphasizing efficient seasonal work habits.

I had an incredible flying weekend, starting with practice landings and a successful fly-in breakfast at Springbank. Enjoyed smooth weather, good company, and even pie afterward. I plan to add wheel skis to my plane for winter and discovered new aircraft products at Oshkosh. Excited for fall flying and upcoming maintenance chores.
