The rally ended with a close race and a warm reception at Drayton Valley. Overall, it was a rewarding three days of flying, with 25 airports visited and 28 takeoff/landings.

After fueling and weather-related diversions, they successfully navigated obstacles and made critical decisions, finally reaching their destination safely. The trip highlighted the importance of preparedness, navigation tools, and the joy of aviation adventure.
A SmokieFest was organized at Red Deer Forestry on April 30, but weather conditions forced pilots to divert to Sundre. Despite the change, ten planes gathered for the barbeque, including Bob, who was the only pilot to reach the original destination. The event turned out successful, fostering camaraderie among club members.
