CAVU Dreams (2013-11)

In October, the author engaged in aircraft repairs and inspections while securing a teaching contract with SAIT. Despite initial apprehensions, they successfully instructed classes on Aerodynamics and Aircraft Structures. They also resumed work on a personal aircraft project, the Buttercup, and noted a change in the pre-meeting dinner location for the club.

From the Cockpit (2013-08)

The annual trip to northwest Ontario involves visiting Judy’s mother in extended care. Despite delays in test flying the rebuilt aircraft, a successful first flight occurred just before departure. The author also engaged in aviation-related activities, helping a nephew with a float plane and a local friend’s aircraft issues, culminating in an enjoyable Turbo Otter flight.

CAVU Dreams (2011-07)

The author recounts a summer vacation in Calgary, initially planned for Terrace, BC, but ultimately spent at a lake cabin. Highlights include attending a fly-in breakfast, dealing with a malfunctioning airplane starter, and various local flights. Despite challenging weather, the week culminated in 10.2 flying hours and preparations for an upcoming Oshkosh event.
