From the Cockpit (2010-08)

As meetings resume on September 9th, appreciation is expressed for Bernie Kespe's contributions. The club seeks a new director at large and encourages safe flying with friends.

CAVU Dreams (2010-07)

The author reflects on a vacation, highlighting their participation in the CRUFC 2010 Air Adventure Tour and subsequent work on aircraft maintenance. Vegas Trip

After much planning and delays, a family flew their RV-10 from Canada to Las Vegas, finally enjoying a warm vacation. They faced weather challenges but successfully navigated to various destinations, including the Grand Canyon. The trip included a private wedding and enjoyable family time, highlighting the efficiency and performance of their aircraft.

CAVU Dreams (2010-06)

May was disappointing for flying, but the author enjoyed a weekend with favorable weather, flying with a neighbor and his wife to an annual breakfast. After performing an annual inspection on his plane, he plans to add a spinner for dynamic balance, which can reduce vibrations and enhance engine performance.

Humble Pie

The first flight of the Mooney, named Dairy Queen, involved extensive preparation and nervous anticipation. Under the guidance of experienced pilot Butch Foster, I struggled with flight controls but gradually gained confidence. Despite feeling overwhelmed by technical details, I managed to land the plane successfully, appreciating the valuable lessons learned during the experience.
