The journey involved careful flight planning, refueling in Merritt, and assessing weather along the route. Highlights included breathtaking scenery and interactions with fellow pilots. Ultimately, they returned safely to Calgary after a rewarding three-day adventure.
On September 14, I received the Empennage kit for the RV-10 and began assembling its components. With detailed instructions, I worked on the vertical stabilizer and started riveting with my daughter Emma’s help. After finishing the vertical stabilizer, I moved on to the rudder, enjoying the building process immensely.
The Nelson fly-in breakfast trip involved a logistical challenge due to uncertain weather conditions. After evaluating the forecast, the author and Ken Beanlands decided to proceed. They flew successfully through turbulent conditions, enjoyed the breakfast, and returned home smoothly, marking a memorable mountain flying experience for Ken's 40th birthday.

On February 19, 2006, I took my co-worker Alan's wife, Rose, on her first airplane ride for her birthday. After thorough briefings and checking weather conditions, we flew over stunning landscapes, including Calgary and Drumheller. Despite some turbulence, Rose enjoyed the experience, expressing newfound confidence about flying. It was a memorable tour.
