Unplanned Adventures

In September 2018, Doug Eaglesham, Geoff Pritchard and I set off to basically just ramble about the sky for several days. We had no solid plan, we were just going flying and we’d see where we ended up.

Geoff was flying his RV-8, a plane with 160 Lycoming horses, which he’d purchased from New Brunswick. Doug was in his Flight Design CTSW, a remarkably efficient composite design from Germany. It had a 100 hp Rotax 912 and cruised almost as fast as the Cav. Doug often described his plane as looking like a flying sperm, which never failed to get me laughing.
